Does this mean God’s mad at me?

Whether it’s all the fallout from a global pandemic, getting caught in the middle of social and political strife, or personal trials that seem so crippling, the craziness of life right now has led many to ask: “Does this mean God’s mad at me?”

If that’s something you find yourself asking, you’re not alone. People have wondered this throughout generations whenever bad things happen. God knows what the struggle is like. He allows hardship and pain in his children’s lives because sometimes that’s the only way for us to grow. But God is no child abuser. He’s gentle, even as he sends us through painful times. And he promises to be right here with us to help us through it.

God is mighty. God is strong. God is powerful. He is also loving. He delights in all his children—those who believe in Jesus and follow him. If you’re God’s child, he sings about you and delights in you.

God’s not made at you. Not at all!

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).

We'd love to hear from you.
