Why does God speak so exclusively about himself? Why does he limit our ability to be okay and to live happily forever as something that can come only through him?
He’s not being egotistical. He’s realistic.
Who else can deal with your sin—perfectly? Who else can completely save you? Who else will die on the cross and suffer hell for you? Who else can love you with a perfect, selfless, constantly-giving and never-failing love? Who else makes it so you can live forever?
No one.
It’s just reality. There is no other. Trust in the Lord. He is your salvation.
“I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11).
