You don’t need to explain why you’re unlovable. You don’t need to keep telling God all the ways you’ve disappointed him. You don’t need to keep beating yourself up. You can stop telling him how unworthy you are.
Just let God hug you.
He already knows how you’ve failed. And he loves you anyway. He saves you. He wants to be with you forever.
He’s with you right now. To tell you you’re loved. To show you you’re loved. To assure you that it will be okay. To insist, despite how you might feel, that all is well with you and him.
Don’t fight it. Be loved.
Let him hug you.
“But while [the prodigal son] was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20)
