Using the Time

On Tuesday of Holy Week (the week that ended with Jesus dying on the cross), Jesus spent a lot of time teaching. He knew he was going to die, but he didn’t waste a moment leading up to it. He still had time, so he made the most of it before paying for the sins of the world.

On Tuesday of this Holy Week, our sins are already paid for. We see how completely that work is already done on Good Friday. But we still have time. We’re spending a lot more time at home, with family, and online. Let’s make the most of it.

What do you want to do with the time you have right now? Here are a few options:

Read a book together as a family.

Make time to pray at specific times of the day.

Memorize the 10 Commandments.

Be intentional about giving people the gospel when they see your social media posts.

Have the kids act out the Easter story and talk about what it means.

Make a meal (and eat it) with your spouse.

Pick a book of the Bible you’ve wanted to know more about. Read it through five times and makes notes of all the things the Holy Spirit teaches you along the way.

We’ve got time. Let’s make the most of it.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

We'd love to hear from you.
