Remember

On Thursday of Holy Week, Jesus gathered with his disciples to celebrate the Passover. While they ate, Jesus did something that surprised them all. He took bread and wine and told them to eat and drink. He told them it was his body and blood—for their forgiveness. He said, “Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19).

So we remember. A body broken. Innocent blood shed. All to accomplish what we could never do for ourselves. The Lamb of God taking away the sins of the world.

Because of social distancing, we’re not able to celebrate Communion all together at church like we normally do. But today, be sure to pause and remember. He came for you. He gave his life for you. He keeps giving himself in bread and wine for you. He loves you. He still forgives you.

Remember.

We'd love to hear from you.
