Jesus promised to one day come back to earth, put an end to all that is wrong, and finally bring all his children home. What a glorious day that will be!
When’s it going to come? Jesus told us to watch for signs and be ready. Signs in nature, earthquakes, people in terror, wars, disease—they’re all signs. Sings that the end is coming, Jesus will return, and all this will be over.
Get ready for it. Lift up your heads. Redemption is one day closer. Get rid of sin. Despair of your own performance. Delight in Christ, his cross, and full acceptance from God. Rejoice in the empty tomb. And get ready for him to take you home.
The signs are all around us.
“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28).
