Patiently listening and really trying to understand. Getting up to help a sick child in the middle of the night. Visiting in the hospital. Defending those can’t stand up for themselves, even if it means you’re ridiculed.
It can be pretty tough. Pretty exhausting. Love isn’t always easy.
But sacrifice for someone else is beautiful. It’s what the people in our lives need.
Love is what we were made for. And love is worth is.
Especially when it’s hard.
