That’s how it was in the beginning. People got to walk and talk with God at the end of the
day. Because God was among them.
Then the big separation happened. Devastating disobedience ruined a perfect relationship
with God.
But God doesn’t give up.
He’s been coming to be with his people in clouds and fire and temples in the past. He came
to be with us when he—Jesus—lived among us on Earth. He keeps speaking to us in the
message of the Bible. He promises to never leave us.
And one day—one day! He’s going to make it all new again. Better. Perfect. The devasting
relationship finally and permanently repaired. And all who trust Jesus will live with God.
Actually seeing him face-to-face. Living with God. It’s going to be great!
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among
the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be
with them and be their God.’” (Revelation 21:3)
