Jesus might not always fit the expectations we have of him. He’s full of surprises and sometimes challenges us in big ways.
But it’s worth it. Because Jesus gives us what no one else can give. He does for us what no one else can do. He loves us like no one else will.
No one else can deal with our brokenness and heal us like Jesus does. No one else can make it so we can live forever in perfection like Jesus does. No one else is so committed to us that he died on the cross and came back to life like Jesus did.
Yes, it’s still sometimes challenging. But where else would we go? Who else is there?
Only Jesus. And Jesus is everything!
“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68)
