“Don’t be afraid”

Whenever God tells us, “Don’t be afraid,” he isn’t saying that the scary things in life aren’t scary. They are.

When God tells us to not work worry or be anxious, he isn’t dismissing it as if it isn’t a big deal.

When God commands us to trust him and not be afraid, it’s not that we simply close our eyes to every trouble and pretend everything’s okay.

God tells us to not be afraid because he’s with us. He to not fear because he is powerful. He will strengthen and protect us. He is our God. He loves to take care of us.

The fears are real. But God says, “Don’t be afraid,” because he’s got this.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

Okay, that’s better.

We'd love to hear from you.
