Just Wonderful

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14).

We grieve over those who’ve become sick and those who’ve died over the past months. It’s serious, and God doesn’t treat it lightly.

We also rejoice over those who’ve recovered and those who were exposed to the coronavirus but never displayed symptoms. That’s serious too, because God doesn’t treat it lightly.

Our bodies are amazing inventions—knit together so meticulously before we were even born. So many interconnected messages and functions all teaming up to help us keep breathing, keep walking, and even recover from illness.

That’s all because of God. He deserves all the credit and all our praise. His works are absolutely wonderful!

He even did it for himself. God born as a baby with hands, lungs, and a heart. All so his hands could be pierced, his lungs would stop breathing, and his heart would fail. And after sins were paid for, his body took up life again. He lives forever.

On this earth, things can still go wrong with our bodies. We all eventually die. But he’ll raise us to life again. His children will have even better—even more wonderful bodies. And no sickness, no pain, and no death will ever be able to touch them again. Can you imagine?

Just wonderful!
