If you’re a believer in Jesus, God delights in you. Did you know that? You’re a precious commodity to him. He values you, cherishes you, and is thrilled that you are his.
You’re a crown to him. He holds you up and marvels at the gold, the jewels, and the fine handiwork. He made you. He remade you in Jesus. And you make him smile.
You might not feel like it. You might look at yourself and see a failure with way too many mistakes. You might think there’s no way God would like you—certainly not delight in you.
But Jesus makes you a crown of splendor. You may not feel it, but it’s real. When you believe in him, you’re a crown in the Lord’s hand.

“You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God” (Isaiah 62:3).
