Rocks might seem boring, but they’re solid. They last from generation to generation. They don’t change. Big rocks make for a great foundation. They’re difficult to move and they don’t shift with the times.
Amid all the changes in life, could you use a rock? Something solid that you can depend on when things are shifting around you?
One of the favorite metaphors God uses for himself in the Bible is a rock. He’s solid, dependable, unchanging, and here for us through all generations.
Take refuge in the Rock. Trust him as your firm foundation. He’s your deliverer.
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge” (2 Samuel 22:2-3).
