Are you ready to return to the way things were? Are you ready for the return to school with all the changes this year? Would you like to have a day that feels somewhat normal? Most of us are.
No one really knows when things will return to normal. Even when they do, it will still be different. So much change and uncertainty can be difficult to deal with.
For those who follow Jesus, there will be a return to something that is anything but normal. It will be better. Far better. One day, God will take all those he’s rescued to a place and an existence where tears, sickness, fear, and disappointments are chased away forever. They will go to a new city, a better Zion, where joy is their crown. It will be astounding! So much better than this.
No one really knows what course things will take on earth. But God has told us what will ultimately come, and it will be well worth the wait. Knowing that gets us through the uncertainty and the changes we see now. They’re only temporary. One day, we will return to something better.
“Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away” (Isaiah 35:10).
