I Disagree

There’s another presidential debate tonight. There’s bound to be disagreement.

Counties and school districts are going back into the red and people have to decide how to proceed. There’s a lot of disagreement.

People across the country are grappling with social issues, policies, and deciding whom to vote for. Might there be some disagreement?

We can’t completely avoid conflict, and there will certainly be disagreements. But we can do it in a better way. We can disagree with love. We can hold different views while still respecting the other person. We can be sinned against and still forgive. We can do this when we have Jesus.

Let Jesus be there with you. Make him part of the conversation. Especially when you disagree.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:29-32).

We'd love to hear from you.
