Once we get to the new year. Once the vaccine is ready. Once things get back to normal. Once I get the promotion. Once I retire.
Then what?
It’s tempting to live in the future, dreaming of how much better it will be once this or that finally arrives.
But what about right now? We don’t know what the future holds. But we know what’s happening right now. Being present in the moment makes us alert to the needs and opportunities we can currently address.
Who needs your mercy right now? Who needs some love and encouragement right now? Where can you make a difference and serve right now?
You don’t need to wait. Opportunities are all around you.
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
We'd love to hear from you.
