Staying Warm

The mornings have been quite chilly lately. Tis the season for hats, gloves, warm jackets, and hot chocolate. Who knows? We might even see some snow fall for Christmas.

We need to stay warm. That’s true for our hearts as well as our fingers and toes. There’s a warmth the human heart needs. But staying warm inside our chests requires more than hats and mittens.

God made us to warm each other’s hearts through person-to-person interactions. God joins people together in his family, the church, so we can greet each other warmly, show love and compassion to one another, and give each other the grace and forgiveness we received from God.

Social distancing is making this tough, but our hearts still need each other’s warmth. As the weather gets colder and Christmas approaches, who can you call? Whose heart would swell to see a handwritten note from you? Who needs some love this time of year?

Get in touch. Send your greetings. Stay warm.

“The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house” (1 Corinthians 16:19).

We'd love to hear from you.
