Just the right word at just the right time. It can be the most comforting thing. Sometimes it’s sent as a text message. Sometimes it’s in a card. Sometimes it’s over the phone or face-to-face. It can come it a variety of ways, but when it’s just the right word, it makes all the difference from someone who cares.
Do you know that God cares? He cares a great deal about you. How do you know that? He sent you just the right word. So much better than a text, a card, or a phone call, he sent his own Son as a little baby. It’s the most comforting thing. It makes all the difference.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1,14).
