It’s eerie to see all the troops in Washington D.C. It’s troubling to think of what could go wrong with the markets and the economy. It’s frightening to know what accidents could happen to you or those you love without a moment’s notice.
There’s a lot that can make you feel unsafe.
And you would be, if you didn’t have backup. But when you’re God’s child, boy do you have backup! The strongest, most powerful force in the universe stands ready to do what is always in your best interest.
Even when things are hard. Even when things feel insecure. Especially when you’re scared. He’s got you. He has conquered for you. You’re going to be okay. More than okay.
Take a look at this:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? . . . No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35-39).
In other words, with Jesus, you’re safe.
