When the lions stalk the buffalo, they target the young and the weak. They try to separate them from the herd and attack when they are most vulnerable. The buffalo know this. So what do they do? When the lions approach, they surround the young and the weak. They make themselves the shield to protect them. They can actually keep everyone safe from attack because they know there’s strength in numbers.
We have times of great weakness in life. It happens to all of us. There are times when we’re vulnerable to vicious attacks of depression, self-loathing, temptation, or addiction. They are ravenous predators ready to devour us. But we don’t have to face it alone. God gives us each other. We need each other. We can shield and protect one another when we’re weak.
There’s strength in numbers. Let’s stick together, love one another, show one another Jesus, and be there for each other.
God knows we need each other.
“Encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
We'd love to hear from you.
