What is it that decides your value? Is it your looks? Your popularity? Your investments? Your success and achievements? The status of your relationships?
No.
Far too many people live in the endless cycle of trying to prove themselves or show that they matter with shallow measures. They think their value is based on things that can easily be shaken or lost altogether.
What if the thing that determines how much you’re worth was constant? What if there was something you could go to and know day-by-day just how much you really matter?
How do you determine how much a work of art is worth? How do you know how much your car is worth? It’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay for it.
How much is someone willing to pay for you? No less than God’s own Son. You are worth the holy, precious, innocent blood of Jesus, the Son of God.
That’s how much God says you are worth to him. That’s what he paid for you.
Feeling ugly can’t change your worth. Losing money doesn’t either. Nothing can. God’s already set your value as high as he can. No matter the circumstances, you are precious to him.
If he gave his Son for you, he’ll give you all things.
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)
