It’s good to rest. It’s good to recharge. We need respite, so it’s okay to take a break.
And it’s also good to work. In fact, it’s good to work hard. To give it everything you’ve got. To invest your heart in your work and make it your best.
Because (did you know?) you’re not just working for your boss. You’re not just working for a paycheck. If you follow Jesus, all your work is ultimately for him.
He deserves a good job from us. Let’s give him our best.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24).
