Because Life is Precious

We keep the nice tableware on the top shelf where the kids can’t reach them and break them. We keep the special jewelry in a jewelry box to make sure they’re safe. We lock our doors and set up security so our possessions don’t get stolen.

Why do we give special effort to protecting certain things? Because they’re precious.

Why do we wear seatbelts, encourage our family to eat healthy, and stay away from harmful situations? Because there’s something that is especially precious. Life.

Human life is worthy of protecting. It’s worthy of our special effort to keep it safe. The life of the elderly and health compromised. Also the life of the unborn.

Because God made all of us—unborn to elderly. Because life is a gift to treasure and protect. Because life is precious.

“You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14).

We'd love to hear from you.
