A new year. New resolutions. New virus variants. New neighbors. New clothes.
There’s a lot of newness right now. Do you sometimes long for something old as well? Something familiar? Something more constant?
Jesus said he’s making everything new. Yet he’s also constant and will not change. All the good about him will remain forever, and all the bad from this world he will ultimately change into good.
He’s the best of the old and the best of the new.
Take him into this new year.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
