God is big. He’s majestic. He’s holy. He’s spirit. Honestly, God can seem abstract. It makes a lot of people see him as distant and detached, if they even see him as real at all.
That’s why God shows himself to us. How? As a person. Jesus came, not just as God, but as a real person. Someone to see. Someone to listen to. Someone who knows you and can say your name.
That’s why you can have a relationship with him. That’s why he gave his life for you. That’s why he’s preparing a place where you can live, and feast, and talk with him forever.
He’s big, majestic, and holy—so different from us. But he’s also a person. Like you.
“[Jesus is] fully human in every way” (Hebrews 2:17).
