When you really admire or love someone, and you discover what it is that they really want, you start to want that too. You become more in synch with the person, along with their values and desires.

God is the glorious author or every good thing. He’s the one who has set his heart on you and sacrificed everything to be with you forever. He is awe-inspiring and filled with compassion. He is holy and does everything right. And everything he says and does is for your good.
Everything.
The more you come to admire and love God, the more you look at the things he values and the things he wants and say, “I want that too.”
Life gets better as you do.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).
