What to do with a broken heart

One of the absolutely awful things about having a broken heart is that you can’t just make yourself feel better. Wounds don’t heal overnight. And you need someone else. Someone else’s love, support, and understanding to help it, over time, get better.

One of Jesus’ job descriptions is to help people with broken hearts. Thank God he’s the one with that job description. He loves you more than anyone else is even capable of. He stands by to support and uplift you when you can’t stop crying. He suffered a broken heart so many times and so deeply that he understands what it’s like.

So he can help. So he can help you heal.

What do you do with a broken heart? Give it to Jesus. He will never break your heart. He heals it.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).

We'd love to hear from you.
