The Right Kind of Rest

Not all rest is the same.

Not all things that seem restful actually set our hearts at ease like we need.

There’s a kind of rest in the presence of God that calms the heart.

It comes from seeing how big and glorious God is.

Greater than our hearts that are so often burdened with worry and guilt.

With a Bible open, in the presence of a big God who will never stop loving you – no matter what.

Now that’s the right kind of rest.

“This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.”

(1 John 3:19-20)
