Why go to church?

Because life is hard for all of us. Because we weren’t designed to be isolated islands all by ourselves. Because trusting and hoping and persevering can be really hard sometimes.

So we need each other. In the same place at the same time learning and singing and confessing the same beautiful things together.

Because God knows what we need. He knows how starved the world is of genuine love and encouragement and support.

Churches are filled with a bunch of messed up people who desperately need a Savior. As they keep coming to Jesus, they find they are loved more than they could ever imagine. And they start to love each other that way, too.

Why go to church? Because Jesus wants us to be loved. By each other.

“Encourage one another and build each other up.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
