It’s easy to miss the good things in day-to-day life. It’s natural to focus on what’s frustrating and disappointing. It’s difficult to remember all the reasons to be glad and give thanks.
Enter the power of gratitude. It’s a way of forcing ourselves to remember and really think about what is good. The things that lead us to say thanks.
God is good. Could you imagine if he wasn’t? Could you imagine what it would be like to have to wonder and worry whether he would do what is best? Thankfully, you never have to.
The Lord loves you. And his love will never end. The cross is proof. Focus on that. Remember and think about what that means. Let it lead you to say thank you over and over again for God’s goodness and love.
There’s power in that kind of gratitude.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (1 Chronicles 16:34)
