Churches talk a lot about the cross, the horrible things Jesus endured, and his suffering.
Why focus on such dark, sad things?
Because so much good came from that suffering.
Peace. God’s approval. Forgiveness. Living forever.
We couldn’t have it without suffering. Without Jesus’ suffering in our place. Without his amazing love.
Let’s keep talking about it. From his pain came so much good.
“By his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
