So we don’t have to learn the hard way

Our parents heard it from their parents. “Trust me on this. I learned it the hard way.” And often they didn’t listen and had to learn the hard way themselves. Then they told us, and we didn’t listen most of the time, either. And we’re telling our kids the same thing: “Just trust me. You don’t have to learn this the hard way like I did.”

God does the same thing for us. And he really would love for us to not have to go through the pain and regret that comes with sin and learning the hard way.

He tells us what he does because he knows what’s best. He knows what we were made for. He’s trying to help.

That’s why he had it all written down in a book: the Bible. The best guidance for life we can find.

So we don’t have to learn the hard way.

“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.” (Psalm 119:9)

We'd love to hear from you.
