The art of boldness

It is important to live humbly. Jesus commends the meek.

However, that doesn’t ever mean that Christians are supposed to be push-overs.

Turning the other cheek doesn’t mean you’re a doormat with no backbone. Followers of Jesus have tremendous hope. They have access to divine strength. They are forgiven, saved, unconditionally loved, secure in the future, and never alone in their suffering.

And God gives them a voice in this world. A voice with something important to say. A message of power and love. Of truth and grace. Of eternity and a better way to live today.

God wants his children to stand tall and develop the art of boldness. Raise their shoulders. Face the world with love and hope and confidence. While constantly maintaining humility and utmost respect, to say it loud. Say it proud.

Let them hear you roar!

“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.” (2 Corinthians 3:12)

“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)
