We live in a culture of screaming and fighting.
It seems like, in order to engage with important and timely issues, you’re required to ridicule those who disagree, overstate every position, and scream as loudly as you can in order to be heard.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could engage without the bitterness?
God says we can.
God wants everyone who follows Jesus to be a much different voice. A voice that speaks up. A voice that addresses important things. A voice that speaks truth.
But arfully. With something so rare: gentleness.
In other words, God wants his followers to speak up with gentleness and respect.
Like Jesus.
“Let your gentleness be evident to all.” (Philippians 4:5)
