The you on the outside—the one everyone sees—that can be real or fake. You can act. You can pretend. You can hide.
But the you on the inside—your heart—that’s what only you and God see. But it’s the real you.
Don’t neglect to take care of the you inside. Take care of your heart. Invest in the real you. Let your heart rest in God. Let your soul be shaped by his love and his guidance. Let your deepest priorities be set by what matters most—not by what everyone else tells you to do.
Everything flows from your heart on the inside. Fill up your heart with God, his peace, and his goodness.
Your heart is the real you. Take good care of it.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (Proverbs 4:23)
