Elections are coming. They’re an opportunity to cast your vote and choose the person you want in particular offices of government. It is a huge honor to be elected—to be chosen by your people.
If you are a follower of Jesus, did you know that you’ve been elected? You are chosen. You’ve been selected for a special position. God elected you before the world was even made to be holy in his sight. Because he always planned to send Jesus, you hold the honored position of saint in his church and you have a permanent spot in his family.
It’s a huge honor to be elected. How much more so when you’ve been chosen by God! Praise him for that.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves” (Ephesians 1:3-6).
