Would you like to get better in life? You know, better in your walk of faith and in a better place spiritually?
Often, people think that getting better at life means more effort. Work harder. Pray more. Get your life together by striving to me more like you should be.
Have you tried that? Trying harder isn’t enough. Not if you’re honest.
But you can get better. The trick is that it takes more God and less you.
When we were still dead in all that is wrong with us, God came to make us alive. God does the work. He offers the perfect effort. He gives his perfect grace.
Pulling your life together, praying more, and getting better starts with knowing that God already loves you. Right now. As you are. Even if you never get any better, he still loves you.
And do you know what? Knowing that will make you better.
“Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions. . . . For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-10).
We'd love to hear from you.
